EMPOWERING BLACK MALES IN THE 21ST CENTURY TO
BRING YOUR "A" GAME
You are cordially invited to a special preview screening of BRING YOUR "A" GAME, a documentary on Black Men and Boys, produced by The Twenty-First Century Foundation (www.21cf.org) and actor/director Mario Van Peebles.
BRING YOUR "A" GAME is designed to catalyze a national conversation on the plight of black men and boys. This screening is specifically designed for Black male teens and the adults that interact with them -- parents, teachers, clergy, and community leaders.
The day will include a screening of the 22-minute film (airing nationally on BET in Spring 2009), a panel discussion of youth and adults discussing how they bring their "A" GAME, and a demonstration of the BRING YOUR "A" GAME Web site. Following the screening and panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with local organizations that work with Black men and boys, receive a resource directory of local mentoring, educational, and leadership programs, and take away a calendar of local events targeted toward Black men and boys. Teen participants will also be encouraged to take the "A" GAME pledge, urging them to stay in school, gain a mentor, and be a leader!
If your organization would like to reserve a free resource table to tell other Atlantans about your work with Black men and boys, contact Mr. Green at wgreen@morehouse.edu.
